Khai’s been napping for almost 3 hours now… I barely know what to do with myself. Max has been playing happily all this time, and no one needs me. I’ve been surfing! And updating journals! Reading, even! Incredible. Of course, I could be cleaning or doing laundry, but why ruin this joyous occasion with such trivial things?
Oooh, the sleeper has awakened.
My sister and her boyfriend have been in New Zealand since March. They went with the intent to travel, camp, hike, etc. and ended up landing an art show in a gallery instead. Their show opened on June 15, and the gallery’s website just updated with images from their show. I am so very, very proud of her– and impressed as well. Yeah, I’m *way* biased and her work probably hits home with me because we are close… but STILL. It’s good stuff. Anyway. Go, look, see!!! Artigiano Gallery
(Wish I had tons of cash hidden away so I could actually buy something. Oh, and I’d buy a house with good places to showcase sculpture, too!)
And OH, yeah.
I keep seeing the Beastie Boys on tv, performing from their new album. I’m not normally a rap fan at all, but for some reason I really like what I’ve heard so far. Is this a nostalgia thing? Or is it just really good? Or are my tastes changing again? (How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?)
We’re back from a two-week trek through the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. We saw family (his and mine!), friends and amazing scenery. The boys did quite well– the DVD player saw some heavy use, and we were happy to have Sesame Street and Dora along for the ride.
Someone stole the first half of June… I swear I just had it, but now it’s missing.
Khai and I have been sick. Bleh! Stomach-flu-type-stuff… it’s so incredibly hard to watch my baby boy throwing up. He doesn’t understand what’s going on or why he feels so yuck; all I can do is hold him and hug him.
Some pics of the trip are up here and here; hoping to get more mountain pics up later.
Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
