It’s mid-March and 83 degrees outside. ??? Welcome to Texas. We went to the park, and we got too hot! Now we’ve come home for a snack, a drink, and to watch the Pooh Bear movie we checked out at the library earlier.

I had more to write, but Khai is more interested in the laptop than in Pooh Bear… it makes both concentration and typing difficult. :)

We were up before 6am yesterday (!!!) so we could drive down to Alvarado and pick up our new (used) 10-drawer flat file. WOOOOOOT! Ebay is my friend. Now I have someplace to store all of my artwork– someplace other than the big cardboard portfolios that live under my bed. I’m so excited… I’ve been hunting for an affordable flat file forever.

The second Exciting Thing of the day is something that perhaps only a parent can understand… Max went poo in the big potty for the first time today. YAAAY! Oh, the horrors of having to clean out the little potty. This is a wonderful thing, it really is. :)

Last, but not least: after only two weeks in New Zealand, my sister and her boyfriend have a gallery show in the works. It looks like they will be doing a collaborative show in June, as well as some commissioned pieces. I am so very, very proud and excited for her! It sounds as if the gallery will also be helping them acquire talent visas, which allow them to be in the country without being tied to a job. As Max would say, super-neato! (Rachel’s website)

Also, I really hate it when my socks get wet. Eww. Need dry socks.
