Max is getting his two front bottom teeth, can do log-rolls, and has developed some pretty good hand-eye coordination skills. He still studies things very intently, and puts everything within reach into his mouth. He is also ‘talking’ ALL the time now– just babbling away, squealing and cooing. Max is so wonderful– I am just so very lucky.

I have been trying to handle all of the Christmas chaos, and so far things look pretty good. I have a few more things to do, but it will all get done without too much stress. Josh has surgery on the 18th (removal of the giant tonsils, and breaking/resetting of the nose…eek), then we are having his family over here on Christmas Eve (much cooking to do! must buy massive amounts of groceries!), then we are heading to Dallas on Christmas Day to be with his grandparents. That weekend, we’ll have more family in town– my grandparents who have not yet met Mr. Max.

I don’t know how I would do all of this if I were working outside the home– I am fortunate to be a stay at home mom for many reasons, but especially during the holidays. I think I would be spending them in an institution otherwise.
