Work has been really busy lately… and this is just the beginning. Next week we start in on a huge project; goodbye evenings!

Zoe is the name, no hyphen. We’re still looking for a middle name. Of course, the sonogram isn’t until next week, but I’m just so sure she’s a girl! :)

We got our tax returns. Even though I’m not spending mine (saving it for more time with baby in July!), it sure is nice to have that buffer. Even when I don’t need to worry about money, I usually do… but that worry keeps me out of trouble, sooo…. I guess it’s not so bad.

Finally set a wedding date: April 14. It will be small, family only, and fairly simple (are weddings ever really simple?). I need to get the invitations finished so we can get those in the mail soon. My dress is on it’s way, and the rest of the plans seem to be falling in place. Now we just need a preacher.

I’m hungry. Girl Scout cookies for dinner!! No, must eat something real…….

I have been lax in posting yet again. My brain is full… maybe too full. It’s hard to retain focus long enough to get things written down.

We need baby name help! Please email baby@pixellaneous.com with any suggestions. Dear Father has suggested “Syphilis,” but I’m just not so sure about that. I’m thinking a hyphenated first name, like Josh’s (Josh-Daniel). And I like Zoe. So Zoe-Something. Hmm. Josh doesn’t like that, b/c he thinks it will be interpreted ZOH-Something, rather than ZO-EEH-Something. Input? Oh, and I have taken to focusing purely on girls’ names now, as I am just nearly positive that it’s a girl. Heh, like I was positive I wasn’t pregnant…. =)

We do have a sonogram on March 8, so maybe baby will be kind enough to let us see what we’re getting. ;) My vote is obviously ‘girl,’ while Josh is leaning a little more toward ‘alien.’

Recent life conundrums: wedding locations are hard to find (if you’re broke); pregnant clothes are expensive and, oh-my, unattractive; dishes pile up at an alarming rate when no one washes them.

I think that I’ve been so occupied with “things” to be done lately that I haven’t done much real thinking. Deep thinking, that is. I think mundane, everyday things tend to dull your mind to some degree. I suppose I either need to simplify, or specifically set aside time for thought. Meditation? Or maybe just typing, writing… I need a laptop.

It has been beautifully grey and rainy lately. Everyone hates it. But I think it’s gorgeous. The air is heavy… it makes things more real, more substantial. Thicker. I hope it stays for a while longer. Then I’ll be ready for spring. :)

See how they fly, like pigs from a sty, see how they run.

I’m not frustrated yet. Really.

This stuff never works the first go ’round.

Something new to play with… :)

This isn’t actually my picture, but here’s a sonogram of a baby at 17 weeks (we’re at 18). Especially for you, papa!

I’m feeling caustic today. That is the culmination of aforementioned intellectual brain-musings.
